Painting Still Life in Oil Workshop

In this one day workshop you will learn to mix colors using a limited pallette. We will be painting from a setup done by the instructor. A short demo will be done along with how to create a wide variety of  colors using very few colors. The students will paint for the remaining time. Safe use of materials will be stressed. Composition, value, color harmony will be covered. At the end of the class students will better understand color mixing and how to create harmony in their paintings.

SUSAN BARNES: INSTRUCTOR PROFILE

Susan Barnes is an award winning artist who has been painting in oils over twenty five years. She studied at Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia and has attended various workshops across the country. Her painting style is representational. Her paintings are included in Burlington County's permanent collection, former US Congressman Tom MacArthur's collections as well as private collections across the US and Switzerland. She has also served as a juror and curator for several exhibits.
