​Lauren Arno: INSTRUCTOR PROFILE
Lauren Arno is an artist living in southern New Jersey who specializes in watercolor portraits of people and pets as well as floral paintings. She is a TCNJ graduate with a BA in art education and a masters in special education from Rowan University.
Artist Statement
I believe I have always been an artist. As a child I was always singing and drawing or painting. I try to find beauty everywhere I look. I examine colors, patterns, and shapes in the world around me. I am most fond of painting portraits. I don’t want to paint beautiful people, rather I desire to paint people beautifully.

Skills
Skilled with drawing, painting in acrylics, oils and watercolors, stop action animation, Adobe Photoshop, Apple, Linux Ubuntu, and Microsoft operating systems, GIMP, Inkscape, ceramics, screen printing, jewelry design, 3D printing, social media promotion of art, creation of screen casts and educational video content, art history, basic flat pattern design, sewing and textile creation.  Trained in positive behavior supports, Nurtured Heart approach, Personal Emergency Interventions training by Devereaux, Social Skill Streaming, Google Classroom, Smart technology and PCAST (person centered transition planning).
